1. Introduction Welcome to MTA’s Author Copywriting and Editing Services. By engaging our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.
2. Services Provided MTA offers professional copywriting and editing services to authors. These services include, but are not limited to, manuscript editing, proofreading, and content creation.
3. Payment Terms
- Payment must be made in advance before any work commences.
- MTA reserves the right to cease work if payment has not been received.
4. Use of SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
- All project files will be managed and accessed through SharePoint.
- Clients are responsible for having an adequate level of IT literacy to use Microsoft Teams for meetings and collaboration, including screen sharing.
5. Corrections and Revisions
- The service includes two rounds of corrections.
- Additional changes beyond the included rounds will be chargeable.
6. Timeframe and Deadlines
- MTA will provide an estimated timeframe during the initial meeting.
- If a specific timeframe is required, it must be agreed upon, documented, and signed off by both parties.
7. Termination and Exit Strategy
- Both MTA and the client have the right to terminate the agreement if the relationship is deemed damaged or if any form of threat is made.
- No refunds will be provided for work that has commenced.
- All completed files, covers, etc., will be provided to the client upon termination.
8. Confidentiality
- MTA agrees to maintain the confidentiality of all client materials and information.
- Clients must also agree to keep any proprietary information shared by MTA confidential.
9. Intellectual Property
- All intellectual property rights for the work produced by MTA remain with the client upon full payment.
- MTA retains the right to use excerpts of the work for promotional purposes, with the client’s consent.
10. Liability
- MTA will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.
- Clients are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and legality of the content provided to MTA.
11. Amendments
- MTA reserves the right to amend these terms of service at any time. Clients will be notified of any changes.
12. Governing Law
- These terms of service are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
